With the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Scorpio, the energy is marked by that of the Celtic sacred tree spirit, the Reed.

The Megalithic religion of ancient Britain was nearly identical to the Egyptian cult of Osiris, god of dead and the underworld. The ancient British also shared many aspects of both their culture and religion with the Greeks, including Dis, who much resembled the Greek god Hades or Pluto – incidently – the modern-day astrological ruler of Scorpio.

The reed, with its characteristic dense slender form, grows wild on river banks, partially submerged in the water. Perhaps it is for this reason that the Celts associated it with the hidden dryad, a connection that is a clear reference to Dis, their god of the underworld.

Imagine: The blue river cuts a swath through the land, before flowing purposefully into the subterranean caverns where Pluto, known to the Celts as Dis, rules supreme. Here, in his melachony netherworld, Pluto stands guard over the four treasures that the Celts had inherited from the Tuatha Dannans, a race of immortals that after being overthrown in a fierce battle by the Celts, had become their gods. Legend has it that each of these treasures – a sword, a stone, a cauldron and a spear  – had come from a different city in which the Tuatha Dannans had learnt their magic and honed their wisdom. What powers might they still hold?

Learning: Plumb the depths of your nether world for the buried treasure that you’re sure to find if you’re serious about looking for it.
